National Chairman of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP), Adamu Mu’azu has assured that the party under his watch would ensure a level playing field for all members aspiring for political positions.
He therefore, advised them to mobilize the people properly as only those who emerge victorious at the primaries would be given the party’s tickets at all levels.
Mu’azu spoke on Saturday at a civic reception organized in his honur in Bauchi. According to him, “Any party faithful wishing to aspire under the flagship of the PDP should meet the people in all the nooks and crannies of their areas of jurisdiction to seek for their mandate”.
“We must be fair and just and be seen to be fair just as all in the PDP big family belong to him,” he said.
In his address, the Bauchi State Governor, Isa Yuguda said that nobody should associate politics with evil, as political office is service to God and humanity.
He thus, called on the people of Bauchi State to support and pray for Ahmed Adamu Muazu to succeed as the new PDP National Chairman.
Yuguda praised the PDP stalwarts in the state particularly the FCT Minister, Bala Mohammed for being a bridge builder; reiterating “I am proud of the FCT Minister, Bala Mohammed and wish him well in all his endevours”.
Also speaking at the occasion, the FCT Minister, Bala Abdulkadir Mohammed called for complete loyalty to the Party and genuine reconciliation amongst all in the PDP family to enable the party maintains its pride position in the nation’s political terrain.
He urged the people of Bauchi State to support the new National Chairman to enable him deliver all tiers of governments in the country to the Party in the forthcoming elections, as “his success is the
success of Bauchi people”.
Mohammed remarked that he is one of the greatest beneficiaries of the Peoples Democratic Party and the President, Goodluck Jonathan and would be an ingrate not to give his full support in order to strengthen it.
He paid tribute to both the new National Chairman of the Party and the Bauchi State Governor who he said have assisted him tremendously as according to him, Governor Yuguda is his boss and political mentor.
The Civil Reception was attended by who is who from the PDP north east zone, some members of the Federal Executive Council, some members of the National Assembly, several members of PDP NWC as well as National and State Board of Trustees.
