A group, Men and Women of Action Campaign Organization (MWACO) has charged President Goodluck Jonathan to without further delay declare his intention towards 2015 presidential election.
According to the group, an affiliate of Goodluck Support Organization, delaying the declaration will continue to give mischief-makers undue opportunity to cause confusion and heat up the polity.
The group’s Director of Policy and Strategy, Osarenme Asemota made this known at a press conference in Abuja.
“We wish to make an urgent call on Mr. President, Dr. Goodluck Jonathan t urgently and immediately declare his intention to contest for re-election come 2015.
“We believe that his delay in announcing his candidature in the 2015 elections is providing mischief makers a field day, leading them to create all sorts of distractions in a desperate attempt to stampede Mr. President into chickening out of the race.”
“The stability of Nigeria is not what should be toyed with through reckless calls. We believe that any section of Nigeria has a right to aspire to the office of president,” Asemota said.
