Speaking on the competition, Isaac Okorafor, CBN’s Acting Director, Corporate Communications Department, said its objective was to create a relaxed and recreational atmosphere.
“This is for distinguished personalities in government, the organised private sector, elder statesmen and members of the diplomatic corps, and others.
“This tournament also creates a platform for interaction and gingering a spirit of friendship among competing golfers, while encouraging partnerships and networking,’’ he said.
Okorafor said CBN’s sponsorship of the event was further in line with its remarkable contributions to sports development in Nigeria through annual sponsorship of three events in football and tennis.
“This is why I will let all know that the bank is satisfied with the fact that the event has become an important feature in the calendar of events of the club, and among distinguished and and eminent Nigerians and foreigners,’’ he said.
