Two sales representatives, on Wednesday, appeared before a Surulere Chief Magistrates’ Court in Lagos for allegedly stealing N34.7 million realised from sales of wigs from their employer.
The defendants, Adebisi Adeoti, 20 and Eniobanfe Morenikeji, 27, of no fixed residential addresses, are facing a two-count charge of conspiracy and stealing.
The Prosecutor, Insp Sadiq Adewale, had told the court that the defendants, with some others still at large, committed the offences between Jan. 9, 2023 and Dec. 31, 2023 at No. 24, Fujah St., Surulere, Lagos.
Adewale said that the defendants, who were expected to pay money from sales into the company’s account, diverted the total sum of N34.7 million to Morenikeji’s Access Bank account number: 0811859828.
He said that the defendants also stole wigs worth N5.7 million from their employer and complainant, one Opeyemi Akinbode.
