The liaison officers of the West African Health Organisation, WAHO, are true ambassadors of the organization, the new Director General, Professor Stanley Okolo has said.
WAHO DG spoke on Monday in Banjul, Gambia, while speaking to reporters after the opening of liaison officers meeting ahead of the 19th Assembly of Health Ministers holding in the country.
Prof Stanley Okolo said he was pleased with the activities of the officers in their different countries.
He said the meeting of health ministers would review WAHO activities over the past years as the five year strategic plan 2015 to 2020 is now in its middle phase.
The DG reiterated the commitment of his team to sustaining the objectives of the the founding fathers of WAHO to deliver health and healthcare to member countries.
The five-day meeting which opens Monday, June 4, 2018, with liaison officers meeting, will be followed by the meeting of health experts, meeting of partners while the 19th Assembly of Health Ministers hold on Friday -#19ECOWAS_AHM.
