The Comptroller-General of Immigration Service, David Shikfu Parradang Wednesday announced the seizure of some Voter’s and National Identity Cards from some foreigners in a renewed crackdown on irregular migrants across the country ahead of the forthcoming general elections.
The various forms of Identity Cards ranging from Permanent Voter’s Cards, Temporary Voter’s cards, National Identity cards to Driver’s license, totalling 718 were recovered, NIS Public Relations Officer, Chukwuemeka Obua said.
The breakdown is as follows:

“The above vital security documents were recovered in Sokoto, Jigawa and Zamfara states following an ongoing nation-wide mop-up operation against irregular migrants across the country ahead of the forthcoming general elections,” he said.
