Wheelchair Basketball League: Oyo beat Kwara 73-10

 Oyo State Wheelchair Basketball team on Monday, defeated  Kwara  73-10 in the first match of the 2024 Betking wheelchair Basketball league.

The News Agency of the Nigeria (NAN) reports that in the match played at the indoor hall of the package B of the Moshood Abiola stadium in Abuja, Oyo team defeated Kwara in all the quarters

They beat them in first quarter 32-00,  12-02  in the second quarter, 08-00 in the  third quarter  and 21-06  in the last quarter to make the final count of 73-10.

NAN reports that  the champion of this year’s league will emerge in the fantastic final four.

Speaking after the match, the coach of Oyo State Wheelchair team, Oluwakemi Akintunde attributed her team’s victory  to hard work.

“We have being together for 10 years now, training together for sometime now, they know all the tactics of the game.

“They played to instructions, I want to win the championship that is our target, we want to go home with the trophy,” she said.

NAN reports that four teams are participating in the ongoing fantastic final four, Oyo, Kwara, Lagos and Kwara team.

The fantastic final four of the 2024 Betking Wheelchair Basketball League which started on Monday, is expected to end on Tuesday at the Moshood Abiola National  stadium, Abuja.(NAN)
