By Gracious Akujobi Enyimba FC coach, Imama Amapakabo says losing to Kano Pillars is not the end of their title chase, positing that they still have a chance to win the league.
Speaking to Prompt News Online after the game with Kano Pillars in Lokoja on Tuesday, Imama revealed that their plan was to win their two home games and get an away result which will safely land them the league shield.
“I am very optimistic that asides winning our remaining home matches we can also pick point away. Once we do that we are sure to win the league”
Echoing what his coach said attacking midfielder, Chimezie Amanfor while blaming himself and his team mates for loosing concentration when it mattered also expressed optimism that his team could win the league the result of the game against Kano Pillars notwithstanding.
“It is sad we lost to a very late goal against Pillars after putting so much effort in the game, we lost concentration at a very crucial stage and that cost is the match”
“We still have a better chance than other teams, all we need to do now is to concentrate and get the job done with the three games left” he stated.
