Nigeria’s Flamingos thrashed Burkina Faso 6-0 in Abuja on Saturday to secure a place in the final qualifying round of the 2024 FIFA U-17 Women’s World Cup.
The Nigerian girls won the two-legged tie 6-1 on aggregate.
Prolific striker Harmony Chidi scored a hat-trick for the Flamingos in the encounter.
Peace Effiong bagged a brace, while Ramota Kareem scored the other goals for Bankole Olowookere’s side.
Nigeria will face either Senegal or Liberia in the final round.
Three teams will represent Africa at this year’s FIFA U-17 Women’s World Cup in Dominican Republic.
