Nigeria’s Flamingos were held to a 1-1 draw by Mexico in a friendly game at Santo Domingo, Dominican Republic, Prompt News reports.
It was the team’s first friendly since they arrived the Dominican Republic capital for their final preparation ahead of the FIFA U-17 Women’s World Cup.
Nigeria took the lead through Faridat Abdulkareem three minutes after the half hour mark.
The Mexicans equalised three minutes before the break.
Bankole Olowookere’s side are expected to play more friendlies before the World Cup.
The Flamingos are drawn in Group A with hosts Dominican Republic, Ecuador and New Zealand.
They will face New Zealand in their opening game on Wednesday, October 16.
