Chelsea have announced Academy forward Tyrique George has signed a new contract until 2027, with a further one-year option.
After coming through the Blues’ development centre programme, George signed as an Under-8 and progressed through the Academy ranks at Cobham.
He made his Under-18s debut at the start of the 2021/22 campaign while still a schoolboy and established himself as a regular in the side the following season, with 28 appearances made under Ed Brand and later Hassan Suleiman.
Last season, George played prominent roles across two Chelsea’s Academy sides and scored several eye-catching goals.
He made 26 appearances for the under-21s – three of which came in the Premier League 2 playoffs – while 21 outings came with the Under-18s, who ended the campaign as Premier League South champions. READ ALSO:

The youngster has represented England at Under-17 level. He has since made the step up to the national team’s Under-18s squad.
