
Two Thai men were arrested, on Wednesday, for alleged involvement in human trafficking and forced prostitution in Brunei, a Thai police general said.
The suspects were arrested in Chiang Rai and Nan in northern Thailand on charges of trafficking two female victims to Brunei capital Bandar Seri Begawan said Anti-Trafficking in Persons Division Commander Police Maj.- Gen. Sayam Boonsom.
The victims, both Thai nationals, with one of them managing to escape, Maj.- Gen. Sayam said.
The suspected traffickers had allegedly connived with two Thai women, who had been arrested previously, to run the forced prostitution overseas, he said. (Xinhua/NAN)
