Super Falcons defender Ashleigh Plumptre stated that securing a place at the 2024 Olympic Games is the team’s next ambition.
The West Africans put up a respectable performance at the ongoing 2023 FIFA Women’s World Cup.
Randy Waldrum’s side were knocked out in the Round of 16 by the Three Lionesses of England after a brave effort.
The Super Falcons will now shift attention to the Olympics qualifier against Ethiopia in October.
Plumptre has therefore reiterated the team’s desire to pick a spot in Paris 2024.
This is now the benchmark for us,” Plumptre told the BBC.
The expectation is that we compete with these teams all the time, hopefully, we have proven that.”
