By Harry Awurumibe           Barely two months to the 10th Africa Women Cup of Nations (AWFCON) in Cameroon, Super Falcons of Nigeria’s opponents, Harambee Starlets of Kenya, have failed in their bid to win the maiden Sub-regional football championship in Uganda.

Kenya lost 2-1 to Tanzania in the final tie while Ethiopia walloped host nation, Uganda 4-1 in the 3rd Place match.

The result will be a huge setback to the team which will do battles with West African power houses, Nigeria, Ghana and Mali in Cameroon in less than two months now.

The Kenyan football authorities had planned to use the CECAFA to prepare the team for its baptism of fire in the AWFCON.
