Nigeria’s Super Falcons are on their way to Melbourne, Australia for their final preparations ahead of the the 2023 FIFA Women’s World Cup.
The West Africans will stay in Melbourne for 15 days to map out strategies for the competition under the supervision of head coach, Randy Waldrum.
The Falcons are expected to engage in series of friendlies while in Melbourne.
The nine-time African champions opening game at the World Cup against Olympic champions, Canada will take place in Melbourne on July 21.
Nigeria will also take on co-host nation Australia and the Republic of Ireland on Thursday, 27 July and Monday, 31 July respectively, at the Lang Park in Brisbane.
The Super Falcons made it to the Round of 16 at the last edition of the competition four years ago in France.
This year’s edition of the quadrennial competition will run from July 20 to August 20.
