Reactions have continued to trail a news publication on an online news platform regarding siblings fighting over a property in Ibadan, Oyo state capital.
The story published in February, was between the Bada of Egbaland Chief Femi Majekodunmi and his younger brother Professor Ribigbe Majekodunmi over a contending two story building at Omitowoju area of Ibadan the Oyo state capital.
It would be recalled that in the month of February 2024, Professor Ribigbe Majekodunmi was arraigned at magistrate court One sitting at Iyaganku, Ibadan, following a criminal charge filed against him by Chief Majekodunmi Bada of Egbaland alledging him of illegally occupying the building in contention.
Delivering her ruling, the Magistrate who discharged and acquitted Professor Ribigbe Majekodunmi ordered amicable resolution over the property in dispute between the two brothers.
The Magistrate said the two parties should maintain status quo over the contending two story building, pending the determination of the substantial suit at a High Court in Ibadan.
The imbroglio began when chief Majekodunmi who is claiming the ownership of the building wanted to embark on the renovation of the building without the knowledge of his brother Professor Majekodunmi who is currently occupying the building.
Professor Majekodunmi had objected to the claim by his elder brother that the property belonged to him, insisting that it was a collective family patrimony.
In her reaction to the brouhaha, immediate younger sister to Chief Majekodunmi Mrs Afolake Ogunduyile (72) Maryland USA, says: “Hey Bros mi. Third time we had refrained from getting involved with your saga with Ribigbe over Omitowoju because nobody can have a reasonable talk with you without you blowing your toes and screaming and throwing tantrums. You called me and exhibited same. Even Papa couldn’t talk to you without you throwing things around.
We are all grown ups and not kids.
Let have dialogue like adults without you storming off.Let face it you’re dragging the family name in the mud.

Also reacting, the immediate younger sister to Mrs Afolake Ogunduyile, Mrs Doyinsola Odunuga in Lagos, wrote: ‘Brother! Please find it in your heart to forgive and forget all we your siblings have said or done to deserve this nonchalant attitude towards our rights.Our parents heritage you have denied us.please for God sake, e ma je wa mo ogun.And please don’t send Ribigbe into prison as posterity will not forgive you.

Meanwhile, Professor Majekodunmi had petitioned the Director, State Security Services, Alalubosa Area Iyaganku Ibadan, alleging a threat to life by Mr Femi Majekodunmi and his Counsel Mr Adeshile Obasa over the contending family property originally owned by their father Chief James Olawale Majeko at NW5/359 Omitowoju street Salvation Army Road Ibadan.
Similarly, the Commissioner of Police, Oyo State Command was petitioned reporting threat to life, malicious damage and conduct likely to cause breachof public peace by Mr Femi Majekodunmi and his Counsel Mr Adeshile Obasa .
In a latest development, Professor Majekodunmi alleged that Barrister Shile Obasa in company of some thugs came to the house, broke the gate and removed a whole door frame.
According to him, the thugs who were planted in the house had access to all the various parts of the house and in the light of that carted away some vital belongings. He said one of the thugs, Augustine Shuwaib was currently facing criminal charges.
