LOKOJA – A Senatorial aspirant for the kogi West senatorial District, Princess Olayemi Joledo-Ayomah has promised to ensure there is social justice in society if elected into the Senate in 2019.
Princess Joledo-Ayomah said this while making her intention known in Lokoja where she also promised to make agricultural revival a focus in order to fully engage the farmers in the kogi West senatorial District to provide food for the nation.
According to the aspirant, who I running on the platform of the All Progressives Congress (APC), the time had come for people of the kogi West to have a voice that will represent what they are and who would not compromise good life for the people.
She said, “being the first woman to aspire to the upper chambers of the National Assembly from the zone, I have the following as my cardinal points namely Agricultural revival for sustainable development, qualitative representation, social justice and care for the elderly. With these in mind, life will be made more meaningful for my people and shall take our pride of place among our contemporary societies”.
She continued that “over the time, I have experienced the laudable ideas that will improve the lot of our people being sacrificed on the altar of greed, sentiment and political aggrandizement”, adding that “this has brought the realization that representing the constituents of kogi West at the highest legislative house in the country would enhance my ability, capability and need to effect the positive difference our people so much desire “.
Joledo-Ayomah who styled herself “the affirmative game changer ” said she was not intimidated by the presence of men in the race with her because “women understand what the society needs more than men and we are determined to work very hard to bring to our people dividends of democracy “.
