Nigeria Premier Football League club Rivers United have appointed Finidi George as new Head Coach.
The appointment, according to reports has been ratified by Rivers State Governor, Sim Fubara.

According to PNO SPORTS, the 54-year-old will be unveiled by the Port Harcourt club on Thursday.
Rivers United have been searching for a new head coach following the sacking of long-standing tactician Stanley Eguma towards the end of last season.
Eguma’s assistant Evans Ogenyi took charge of the team for the remainder of the campaign.
Former Ajax winger Finidi led Enyimba to win the NPFL championship the previous season before he was appointed Super Eagles coach in May. READ ALSO:

He quit his Super Eagles post after the NFF decided to appoint a foreign coach to boss him following a 1-1 home draw with South Africa and a shock loss to Benin in 2026 World Cup qualifiers.
