Ahead of February 12 presidential election, President Goodluck Jonathan has enjoined his supporters nationwide to remain calm in the face of intimidation.
Speaking through his Media Adviser, Dr Reuben Abati, the President reacted to the burning of his campaign bus in Jos by irate youths.
Abati on his twitter handle, further quoted Jonathan as advising all politicians to conduct their campaigns with moderation, decorum and civility.
He stated, “Let us conduct our electoral campaigns with highest possible decorum and civility towards political opponents.
“On violent destruction of supporters’ assets, President Jonathan calls on his supporters to pursue peace in the face of undue provocation”.
