Minister of State for Budget and National Planning, Prince Clem Ikanade Agba, has congratulated Muslim faithful on the occasion of this year’s Ramadan.
Agba’s message was contained in a press statement issued in Abuja on Thursday.
Prince Agba urged Muslims to use the period of Ramadan to engender peace, unity, and religious tolerance among believers of different faiths to create a conducive atmosphere for the achievement of sustainable development and growth.
According to him, “Ramadan is a period of sober reflections on those virtues that will promote love, peace, and unity in the country.”
He posited that there was a need for Nigerians to support and pray for the APC-led federal government to continue to deliver on its promises to the people.
This, he said, would encourage good governance, quality leadership, and robust representation by elected and appointed persons into public offices.
The Minister urged Muslims to imbibe the lessons of Ramadan so as to receive the blessings that come with it.
Prince Agba, who has endeared himself to the heart of his people with his efficient leadership, urged Nigerians, especially the Muslim faithful, to see the month of Ramadan as a period to seek the face of God in order to experience peace and harmony in the country.
While wishing them a successful Ramadan period, the Minister prayed the Almighty God to grant Nigeria’s President-elect, Asiwaju Bola Tinubu, the wisdom and understanding to implement his blueprint for Nigeria in line with his promises during the electioneering period.
