Recently, Prompt News Online published a story with the caption “Pastor Raises Alarm Over Plot by Boko Haram to Attack Abuja Soon”. (http://www.promptnewsonline.com/pastor-raises-alarm-over-plot-by-boko-haram-to-attack-abuja-soon-2/). The story was an exclusive interview our correspondent had with Pastor Collins Obi of God’s City of Joy Church, Abuja.
The Pastor had warned that the dreaded Boko Haram members were planning to attack Abuja soon, and urged Nigerians to pray fervently against it.
“On the 16th of March, 2014, around 5am, God revealed to me that there will be another bloodbath in this country, but this time in Federal Capital Territory (FCT) that Nigerians have to pray against a troop of the Islamic terrorists who is planning to come into Abuja, and they planned to hit the city very hard.
“This is a problem that concerns all of us, not only the government and Nigerians should not see this as one of those prophecies, every Nigerian has to pray, we need help. This warning must be taken very serious.
“It is our utmost prayer that God would intervene and bring an end to it. God is merciful and answers prayer that was why He revealed this wicked plan to me and if we as a nation can pray, I believe that in no distant time, God will bring an end to this crisis,” Pastor Obi said.
What happened at the Department of State Service (DSS) headquarters in Abuja on Sunday morning was a clear pointer that a deadly attack is still imminent in the Capital City.
Despite denials by the spokesperson of the DSS, Marilyn Ogar that the sporadic gun shots heard around the DSS office, which is almost adjacent the Presidential Villa, was as a result of jail break attempt by suspected Boko Haram inmates, the photographs twitted by Yooshoop @ciaxon and first published by Premium Times speak volume.
