Adeboye Ado, one of the reporters of a leading media organization in Nigeria, Prompt News Online, has been elected as the Secretary of Federated Chapel of Nigeria Union of Journalists (NUJ), Ondo State Council.
He was elected alongside the Publisher of the Democrat News Magazine, Comrade Alaba Aliu, who is the Chairman of the Chapel.
The election and inauguration was conducted by NUJECO under the Chairmanship of Revd David Akinadewo, at the Nigeria Union of Journalists (NUJ) Press Centre, behind Adegbemile, Alagbaka, Akure, as members of the chapel came in their numbers.
Earlier at the event, the NUJECO Secretary, Taiwo Gbamila called on the outgone Chapel Chairman, Bayo Adediran for his remarks who enumerated his challenges and achievements since inception of the Chapel and also used the medium to advise the new executive members to take the chapel to the next level.
Also speaking, the State Chairman of NUJ Prince Leke Adegbite who was represented by Secretary of Ondo State Council of NUJ, Comrade Meshack Olaoluwa, administered the oath of office on Alaba Aliu who in turn administered on other members of the executives.
Adegbite charged them to be up and doing while they mobilise members who are from Ondo State based newspapers to be more active and make their presence felt at the State Council’s activities.
Former National Officer of the Union and one of the elders at the chapel, Prince Ebenezer Adeniyan appreciated the Chairman and Secretary of NUJECO, for the job well done.
He advised the new executive members to work together in unity so as to achieve success.
He said the chapel has the potential to be one of the best and expressed confidence in the newly elected chairman to lead the Chapel to an enviable height and he urged the new excos to start planning towards the 10th anniversary as he expected something tangible and great from the them.
Earlier in his acceptance speech, the newly inaugurated Chairman, Alaba Aliu said he would stop at nothing to fast track growth of the chapel and to promote the welfare of members as well as getting new members enlisted into the chapel. READ ALSO:

Other executive members includes Precious Oluwole, Treasurer; and Jimisayo Adebiyi, Vice Chairman.
The New Secretary, Adeboye Ado, in his closing remarks appreciated all the participants for their time and promised to turn around the fortune of the chapel.
