Justin Kluivert bagged a hat-trick as Bournemouth stunned Newcastle United 4-1 at the St James’ Park on Saturday.
The defeat was Newcastle United’s first in their last 10 outings across all competitions.
Kluivert scored twice in the first half to put Bournemouth in commanding position.
The Dutchman added one more after the break with Milos Kerkez netting the other.
Bruno Guimaraes scored Newcastle United’s only goal of the game.
Bournemouth, firmly in the hunt for a European place, have temporarily leapfrogged Manchester City in the Premier League table and are level on 37 points with Chelsea.
Newcastle United remain in fourth position on the table.
