Controversial Nigerian singer Habeeb Okikiola, popularly known as Portable, has been remanded at the Oke Kura Correctional Centre in Ilorin, Kwara State, after failing to meet the bail conditions set by an Upper Area Court.
The singer appeared in court on Monday following defamation charges filed against him by veteran Fuji musician Akorede Saheed, also known as Saheed Osupa.
Prompt News reports that Portable was granted bail in the sum of N1 million, along with strict conditions.
The court required two sureties: one must be either the Chairman or Secretary of the Performing Musicians Association of Nigeria, while the other must be a property owner residing in a Government Reserved Area in Ilorin, with a valid Certificate of Occupancy.
