The ruling Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) has again fixed its special convention which will produce the party’s national officers for August 31.
The chairman of the Convention Committee, Prof Jerry Gana, announced the new date in Abuja shortly after the inauguration of the committee.
He assured party members that assured members that the committee will organize a transparent convention that would be acceptable to all.
National Chairman, Bamanga Tukur who inaugurated the committee also fixed August 24 for the South West congress.
Tukur hadlast week directed the Convention Committee to put a stop to preparation following disagreement among party big wigs. He however promised that the date will not be changed again.
Meanwhile, 14 subcommittees that have been set up are expected to turn in their reports by next week Thursday, Prof Gana announced.
