The Nigeria Olympic Committee (NOC), said it has appointed 360 Africa Media Ltd. to assist it raise funds to support the National team at the 2024 Paris Olympic Games.
Tony Nezianya, Public Relations Officer of NOC who disclosed this in a Statement on Friday in Abuja, said a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) was signed on Jan.31 at the committee’s office in Lagos.
He said the primary objective of the collaboration was to secure financial support for the NOC, and for the Nigerian national teams competing as ”Team Nigeria’ at the Paris Olympic Games.
Nezianya said the committee as an essential pillar of the Nigerian sports landscape, aimed to provide athletes with the necessary resources and support to excel on the international stage.
He said the marketing group hopes to utilise its expertise and connections to identify potential sponsors, and donors interested in supporting Nigerian athletes.
“By leveraging their network and strategic marketing techniques, they will create tailored fundraising campaigns to generate funds for the NOC.
“These campaigns may include sponsorship opportunities, advertising deals and various promotional activities.
“The collaboration between the NOC and the 360 international marketing group, is expected to have a significant impact on the capabilities and opportunities available to Nigerian athletes,” he said.
The spokesman said increased financial resources would enable the NOC facilitate training programmes, secure top-notch coaching staff, provide state-of-the-art equipment, and support athletes throughout the Olympic.
He said it was a commitment to sports development which would not only benefit the national team, but also contribute to the overall growth of Nigerian sports.
Nezianya said with the appointment of 360 Africa Media, the NOC was taking proactive steps to secure adequate funding and support for Nigerian athletes at the 2024 Olympic Games.
“Additionally, the funds raised will aid in promoting sports development across Nigeria by investing in grassroots sports initiatives and infrastructure.

“The NOC aims to encourage youth participation and nurture talent at the grassroots level,“he said.
He said that the collaboration also seeks to expand the resources available to the NOC, and provide the Nigerian national teams with the best possible opportunity for success.
The Paris 2024 Games will be held in Paris from July 26 to Aug. 11. (NAN)
