Super Falcons forward Asisat Oshoala is among the nominees for the 2023 Women’s Ballon d’Or.
Oshoala was also nominated for the prestigious award in 2012.
The striker remains the only African female player to have ever made the shortlist for the Women’s Ballon d’Or.
The 28-year-old finished in 16th position last year, PROMPT NEWS reports.
Oshoala’s Barcelona teammate Alexia Putellas has won the award for the last two years.
She was a key part of the Barcelona side that won the UEFA Women’s Champions League crown last season. READ ALSO:
