You have been exemplary and sharply-focused in all you do in public life. Your Catholic worldview about issues of workers’ welfare, good governance and fidelity to electoral promises as the bastion of accountable leadership is writ large.
Our inimitable Comrade Leader, your commitment to the pursuit of common good is also very inspiring as exemplified by your many years of dedicated and selfless people-centred service to the people and nation.
You have affected lives positively; you have impacted humanity significantly. You have built a body of legacies, especially in the infrastructure development of Edo, our dear state, while in the saddle as governor for eight years.
I do not have to recall or recount all of your achievements that have been permanently etched in the governance architecture of our state for posterity.
As National Chairman of our great party, the All Progressives Congress (APC) and an apotheosis of democratic practice and principles, your headstrong approach and passion to achieve what you set out to accomplish remains remarkable and truly inspirational.
As you step into the enviable club of Septuagenarians, having attained the Biblical three scores and ten years, the age of wisdom, I pray that the Almighty God would continue to endue you with more wisdom and renewed strength to more religiously serve humanity and God.
