Super Falcons and Shanghai Shenhua forward Francisca Ordega has tasked the Nigeria Football Federation (NFF) for international friendly matches at FIFA windows to keep the team in shape like their male counterpart (Super Eagles) who recently engaged Algeria and Tunisia in Austria.
Ordega who spoke to Prompt News in a telephone chat, said the Super Falcons have the ability and experience to compete with the super powers in female football at the international level, if the right attention is given to the women national team.
Former nominee for the best female Africa Footballer, also stated that the best way to achieve success is early preparations for major competitions.
“Super Falcons remain the best in Africa but with the recent development and improvement in Africa women football, Nigeria will find it difficult to remain on top if attention is not given to female football.
“NFF should ensure that the female league return and appropriate more funds to the women’s league.
She revealed that the next FIFA Women’s World Cup may likely mark her last appearance for the super falcons at the international stage while she concentrates on her club football.
