France U-23 coach Thierry Henry has revealed Michael Olise wants to play for Nigeria and England at international level.
Olise is eligible to play for the three countries as well as Algeria.
The 22-year-old was born in Hammersmith, England to a Nigerian father and French-Algerian mother.
Henry stated that the winger has decided to play for France ahead of the other countries.
“We know that he has plenty of possibilities but he wants to play for France. You have to highlight his desire to show that he wants to play for the French team,” Henry was quoted by the Mirror.
“If he was English, he would have already left to play for England. He could have made the other choice and played the Euros with the England team, like his team-mate Eberechi Eze at Crystal Palace but he wants to play for France, knowing that he wouldn’t play in the Euros.” READ ALSO:
