Falconets defender, Shukurat Oladipo can’t hide her excitement after sealing a move to Italian Femminile side AS Roma.
Oladipo moved to AS Roma from Nigeria Women’s Football League, NWFL, club FC Robo Queens on Tuesday.
The 20-year-old penned a two-year contract with the Giallrossi.
The centre-back described the move as a life- changing moment.
“I’m very happy; I feel so excited. It’s a very big opportunity for me to join a very big team like AS Roma,” she told the club’s official website.
“Me coming to Italy and playing for AS Roma is a very big, life-changing experience for me. It will help my career grow and also help me grow as a person and a footballer.”
The Nigerian also revealed her mission and expectations at the club.
“My target is to help the team achieve their objective and plan for the season. My other target is to improve as a player,” she stated.
