By Collins Agwam The Senior Special Assistant on Political Matters to the Governor of Delta state, Hon. Ikechukwu Martin Okakwu, has applauded the emergence of Emmanuel Ogidi as National Vice Chairman, south-south, of the Peoples Democratic Party, PDP.

The SSA to Governor Ifeanyi Okowa expressed confidence in the leadership style of the new national vice chairman.
He also urged all party faithful in the state and the south-south region to accord Ogidi the necessary support to move the party in the region to greater heights.
Emmanuel Ogidi was nominated unopposed as National Vice Chairman and chairman, south-south PDP at Dr. Obi WaliConference Centre, Port Harcourt.
He was later declared winner after an affirmative vote, in which he polled 579 votes and was unanimously elected as National Vice Chairman, south-south PDP.
