NPFL: Plateau Utd Thrash Adamawa 5-0Extend Unbeaten Run

Plateau United regained top spot in the Nigeria Professional Football League after  thrashing Adamawa United 5-0 at the New Jos  Stadium on Sunday.
Ibrahim Mustapha bagged a brace with Oche Ochowechi, Uche Onwuasoanya and Abba Umar netting the other goals for the former NPFL champions.
Abdu Maikaba’s men top the table with 28 points from 16 games.
Lobi Stars dropped to second spot in the table after they were held to a 0-0 draw at home by Dakkada FC.
The Makurdi club have the same points with Plateau United but have an inferior goal difference.
At the Sani Abacha Stadium, Kano Pillars edged out Akwa United in a thrilling encounter
Nyima Nwagua poked home Chijoke Alakwe’s cross to hand Pillars the lead in the 76th minute.
Rabiu Ali extended the home side lead three minutes later from direct free kick.
In Enugu, Rangers won their third successive game in a row following a 3-1 win against Abia Warriors.
Ifeanyi George netted a brace for the Flying Antelopes, while Ibrahim Olawoyin scored the other goal.
Lukman Bello scored the only goal for Abia Warriors.

Defending champions  Enyimba lost 2-0 to FC Ifeanyiubah in Nnewi.
Uche Sebastine and Ikenna Cooper got both goals for the Anambra Warriors.

Wikki Tourists recorded their first win at the newly refurbished Abubakar Tafawa Balewa Stadium, BauchI following a 2-1 win against MFM.
Promise Damala put Wikki ahead after he was set up by Mansoor Sale.
Olushola Ajala doubled the host’s lead with a long- range strike on the stroke of half time.
Chimezie Izuchukwu reduced the deficit two minutes after the break after he was teed up by Tosin Olubobola.
