Ahmed Musa has promised more superlative displays for Kano Pillars after his sensational return to the Nigeria Premier Football League (NPFL).
Musa hugged the headlines after scoring a brace in Kano Pillars’ 2-0 win over Sunshine Stars on Sunday night.
The 31-year-old missed the chance to score a hat-trick after failing to convert from the spot in the 71st minute.
An elated Musa can’t hide his excitement after the victory.
“Back in familiar colors, and it feels so good! Grateful to the entire backroom staff, my team mates, management of Kano Pillars FC for believing in me and giving me this opportunity to return,” he wrote on X.
“To the amazing supporters and everyone who came out to watch, thank you for the love and energy! Scoring two goals and earning that penalty was just the start – we’ve got a lot more coming!”.
This was Kano Pillars second win of the season and they are now eighth on the table with seven points from five matches.
They will have a double-header away as they travel to face Akwa United in the South-South, followed by a midweek clash with Rangers in the South-East.
