Heartland Football Club have made their long trip to Maiduguri, the capital city of Borno state count for something after holding El-Kanemi Warriors to a barren draw.
It was the Nigeria Professional Football League (NPFL) Week 6 match played at El-Kanemi Stadium, Maiduguri on Sunday.
It was a match El-Kanemi Warriors threw everything at their opponents to get a win right from the first blast of the whistle but the first half ended in a deadlock as the visiting team frustrated efforts of their hosts to break them down.
On resumption, El-Kanemi Warriors whose head coach Aliyu Zubairu, currently with the Flying Eagles, had boasted that the Maiduguri side can win all their home matches, came out with force to rattle their visitors.
They however, met a determined side not ready to return to Owerri empty-handed and they held their ground to the end of the 90 minutes encounter to leave the scoresheet at 0-0.
By this draw, the Naze Millionaires handled by former Golden Eaglets FIFA U-17 World Cup winning head coach, Emmanuel Amuneke garnered a point and have gone two matches without a loss.
Prompt News recalls that Heartland recorded a 2-0 emphatic victory over visiting Niger Tornados at Dan Anyiam Stadium, Owerri last week.
