At an interactive session between the leadership of the Nigerian Institute of Management (Chartered) led by its President and Chairman of Council, Dr. (Mrs) Christiana Atako and the Director-General of National Productivity Centre (NPC), Dr. Kashim Akor confirmed the plan to partner with the NIM on capacity building and productivity enhancement in Nigeria.
This is even as Dr. Akor appreciated the leadership of NIM for firm commitment to professionalism and managerial excellence in Nigeria.
Speaking at the session, the NIM President congratulated the Director-General of National Productivity Centre (NPC) on his focused leadership at stimulating productivity consciousness, determining productivity levels and promoting productivity movement in the country for the benefit of all sectors in Nigeria’s economy.
Dr. Atako commended the Director-General of NPC on the enhancement of productivity for the informal sector for increased competitiveness. She described the Centre as a focused government agency with innovation and purposeful leadership.
The National Productivity Centre’s partnership with the Nigerian Institute of Management (Chartered), which will commence with the signing of Memorandum of Understanding between both organizations, is to enhance both the conceptual and professional competencies of the participants who will be drawn from both public and private sectors.
“Increases in output will lead to increase inputs of the production process…” Dr. Atako argued.
As the foremost and clear leader in management excellence with over 200,000 management professionals, the Nigerian Institute of Management in remains the symbol and source of Management.
So, the Institute’s President seeks for more partnership with other government agencies as they were told to emulate the laudable gesture of the National Productivity Centre.
