All clubs that will participate in the Nation-wide League One must register with the Corporate Affairs Commission (CAC) before the commencement of the new season, the Executive Secretary, Mr. Olushola Ogunnowo has said.
In a letter to all the clubs made available to Prompt News, Ogunnowo, stated that the registration is a perquisites for clubs to benefit from the various packages lined up by sponsors.
Reiterating the importance of the registration, the Executive Secretary said it is also in line with best football practices across the world.
The letter reads, “I present the complements of the Nationwide League One to you and members of your Club.
“As part of our efforts to make sure the NLO complied with football best practices and for Club owners to enjoy the full benefits of being in football business, it is very important and compulsory that all Clubs in Division One, Two and Three Register with Corporate Affairs Commission (CAC) before the commencement of 2016 football season.
“The registration with CAC will enable all the Clubs to be involved in the sponsorship packages that the League will enter into before the commencement of 2016 season, among which are:
• To enable Clubs open corporate accounts with the bank that has agreed to sponsor the league
• To enable clubs have access to vehicle leasing which will be available to all clubs so that they can have Club Bus and cars for their league matches and businesses
• To enable Clubs have access to funds that will enable them build their own mini stadium and clubhouse and many more opportunities that will be in place for our clubs in the Nationwide League.
“Clubs that have not officially register with CAC to kindly contact the NLO for assistant.”
