In the North-Central region, areas such as Kogi, Kwara, and Benue will experience hazy conditions with scattered clouds. Meanwhile, the southern region will witness cloudy skies with sunny intervals, with the possibility of afternoon or evening thunderstorms in parts of Lagos, Ogun, Oyo, Cross River, Akwa Ibom, Rivers, Bayelsa, Ondo, Edo, and Delta states.
By Monday, NiMet predicts a continuation of moderate dust haze in the northern and North-Central regions, maintaining a visibility range of 2km to 5km. Kogi, Kwara, and Benue are expected to experience hazy conditions with patches of clouds. In the southern region, cloudy skies with sunny spells will persist, with thunderstorms likely in Cross River, Akwa Ibom, Rivers, Bayelsa, and Delta states.

NiMet has advised individuals, particularly those with respiratory conditions such as asthma, to take necessary precautions due to the presence of dust particles in the atmosphere.

Additionally, airline operators are encouraged to obtain location-specific weather updates from NiMet for proper flight planning. Residents are also advised to stay informed by visiting the agency’s official website at www.nimet.gov.ng for real-time weather updates.
