The Confederation of African (CAF) has announced the host of the 2027 Africa Cup of Nations with the joint bid of Nigeria and Benin Republic losing out.
Nigeria and Benin Republic were favourites to get the nod but failed to convince the Confederation of African Football (CAF) executive committee.
The joint bid of Kenya, Uganda and Tanzania won the hosting right.
CAF made the announcement after the end of its executive committee in Cairo on Wednesday afternoon.

Nigeria last hosted Africa’s largest football competition in 2000.
The country co-hosted the competition along with Ghana.
