Apparently to deliberate on the list of applicants for the vacant coaching positions in the national teams, the Nigeria Football Federation (NFF)
Technical Committee met today in Abuja to shortlist coaches who have applied for the Super Eagles and Golden Eaglets’ coaching jobs.
Prompt News can confirm that the meeting which lasted for over three hours ended at exactly 4:15 pm with members keeping mum over the choice of coaches recommended for the NFF Executive Committee led by the federation President Ibrahim Musa Gusau.
The meeting which was presided over by the Chairman and Kano State FA boss, Alhaji Sharif Rabiu Inuwa ‘Ahlan’ was attended by all the members including Vice Chairman and Executive Committee member, Chief Felix Anyansi-Agwu; ex- Internationals-Dr. Felix Owolabi and Victor Ikpeba aka Prince of Monaco.
Others in attendance were Hon. Aminu Balele Kurfi, Mallam Zanna Mala and Mr. Olayinka Olagbemiro who are expected to do a thorough job in arriving at the choice of a new head coach for Super Eagles and Golden Eaglets respectively.
However, it was learnt that after a thorough deliberation, the Committee has submitted its recommendations to the NFF Executive Committee through the President just as the Executive Committee is expected to announce the successful candidates afterwards.
Prompt News recalls that no fewer than a dozen top coaches like Emmanuel Amuneke, Finidi George, Daniel Amokachi, Samson Siasia and Salisu Yusuf as well as former coach of Indomitable Lions of Cameroon Antonio Conceicao have all applied to lead the Super Eagles.
