Neymar Junior has given an indication of his club football plans for the 2023/24 season.
The Brazilian forward’s future with Paris Saint-Germain has been up in the air recently, becoming one of the transfer window headline stories so far this summer.
There has been speculation linking the 31-year-old with a move away from Parc des Princes after six years, with Manchester United, Chelsea, Liverpool, and Arsenal touted as possible destinations.
However, despite reports from FourFourTwo stating Neymar is unhappy at PSG – something mirrored by fans who called on him to leave recently – it seems he will stay at Parc des Princes for the foreseeable future.
The Brazilian posted on the new social media site, Threads, including a pic of a private plane and the caption translated as ‘Party season 23/24’ with the French flag emoji.
Some believe this has all but confirmed his intentions to remain in the capital for another term at least.
Meanwhile, the club’s new manager, Luis Enrique, was asked about the Brazilian forward in his press conference after being appointed.
“I haven’t spoken with Neymar yet, if he should be part of my project. This kind of information I would like to give it to you, but it is part of internal information,” The Guardian quoted.
Neymar scored 13 goals and assisted 11 in his 20 league appearances for PSG last season. The former Santos man, who turned down a move to Chelsea in 2010, still has two years left on his current deal.
