Chairman Nasarawa Local Government Council, Hon. Mohammed Sani Otto on Sunday, condoled with the family of the deceased Chairman of All Progressives Congress (APC) Nasarawa state chapter, Mr Phillip Tatari Shekwo and the entire stakeholders and members of the party over the demise of the party chairman.
This was disclosed in a statement issued by Yahaya Abdulrahman

Mr Shekwo who was abducted from his residence in Lafia around 11pm on Saturday after a gun duel between his abductors and security agents was found dead few meters away from his home on Sunday afternoon.
“Nasarawa Local Government Council Chairman has received with rude shock, news of the passing away of Hon. Phillip Tatari Shekwo.
“Expressing his heartfelt sorrow over the irreparable loss of a gentle, humble and hardworking man whose devotion to a stronger and functional All Progressives Congress in the State is evident in the way and manner he had piloted the ruling Party to victory in the recent bye-elections, and the last general elections which ushered in Industrialist Governor Abdullahi A. Sule to power.
“Hon. Mohammed Sani Otto recollects Shekwo’s passion for a peaceful, united and progressive Nasarawa State through his exemplary leadership style,” he said.
Otto noted that the state, particularly the All Progressives Congress has lost a leader of uncommon commitment to good governance at the time it needs him most.
“The Dan-Amanan Nasarawa, also extends his condolence to His Excellency, Governor Abdullahi A. Sule, the Executive Governor of Nasarawa State, leadership and members of the All Progressives Congress and the immediate family of Mr. Shokwo.
“Shocking as his death is, we take solace in the the life of honesty, generosity and patriotism which Mr. Shokwo lived,” the Chairman added.
The Council boss prayed for the repose of Mr Shekwo’s soul as he also prayed to God grant the family of the deceased the fortitude to bear the painful loss.
