The National Insurance Commission (NAICOM) is to partner with the National Information Technology Development Agency (NITDA) to activate the process of institutionalizing cyber insurance with a view to strengthening the digital ecosystem in Nigeria.
This was the outcome of a meeting between the managements of the two organisations when the Director General/CEO, of NITDA, Kashifu Inuwa Abdullahi, paid a courtesy visit to NAICOM headquarters in Abuja on Tuesday.
The team was received by the Commissioner for Insurance/Chief Executive Officer, Olorundare Sunday Thomas, who noted that the purpose of the visit is to activate the process of institutionalizing cyber insurance to help strengthen the digital ecosystem in Nigeria.
The two agencies which also discussed the enormous benefits of the partnership to the nation have agreed to ensure it’s full realisation.
