Nigeria’s Super Eagles camp is now in full swing as almost all the invited players trained Tuesday morning except Leicester FC of England star Ahmed Musa.
German coach Gernot Rohr with his assistants took the players through their morning training session at the training pitch of the Abuja National Stadium.
The players led by the team captain, Chelsea’s John Obi Mikel went through the segments without much trouble.
They were finally divided into three groups except the three goalkeepers handled by Goalie trainer, Aloysius Agu.
Rohr and two of his white assistants as well as Chief Coach Salisu Yusuf and Imama Amapakabo helping out when necessary.
Aside Mikel, others at the training are goalkeepers-Carl Ikeme, Ikechukwu Ezenwa and Enmanuel Daniel. Among the players in the first training are Alex Iwobi, Ogenyi Onazi, Elderson Echiejine, Kelechi Iheanacho and Kenneth Omerue.
The team will train again in the evening at the same place.
Speaking after the training session, Rohr expressed satisfaction with the performance of the team and assured that the players will improve with each passing day.
He however regretted the spate of injuries which knocked out his key players like Simon Moses, Leon Balogun, Victor Moses and Isaac Success.
The duo finished first and second on the Top Scorers list in the just concluded season with Chisom netting a hat trick for Rangers in Enugu last Sunday.
