By Gracious Akujobi Niger State Capital, Minna, is billed to host the Transformation Ambassadors of Nigeria (TAN) on Saturday, September 13, as its nationwide rally train moves to the North Central.
Ahead of the event holding at the Trade Fair Complex, Minna, all necessary arrangements have been concluded to ensure a hitch-free rally.
Over seven million signatures of people asking President Goodluck Jonathan to seek re-election in 2015 have been collected in the three Southern zones.
A mammoth crowd attended the last rally in Port Harcourt for the South South zone with over four million signatures collected.
Prior to the Port Harcourt rally, the South West and South East rallies had produced 1.8 million and 1.6 million signatures respectively.
After the North Central rally, the North East will follow on September 20 and North West on September 27.
Already, the Federal Capital Territory (FCT) is gearing up for the Grand Finale billed to hold on September 30, at the Eagles Square, Abuja.
The organizers, the Transformation Ambassadors of Nigeria (TAN), which comprises of Nigerians from all walks of life, hope President Jonathan would yield to pressure from the people to run in 2015.
Apart from TAN, other well meaning Nigerians have also been calling on the President to seek re-election.
It will be recalled that the All Progressives Grand Alliance (APGA) has also endorsed President Jonathan as the party’s presidential candidate in 2015.
