GOCOP President, Maureen Chigbo

The Guild of Corporate Online Publishers (GOCOP) has elected new executive members to pilot the affairs of the Guild for the next two years.

Ms Maureen Chigbo, Publisher of RealNews Magazine Online was elected President while the Publisher of Newsdiaryonline, Danlami Nmodu, mni, emerged the Deputy President.

She takes over from Mr. Dotun Oladipo, Publisher of The Eagle Online.

Also elected are: Tom Chiahemen, Vice President (North); Ken Ugbechie, Vice President (South); Collins Edomaruse, General Secretary; Olumide Iyanda, Deputy General Secretary; Mrs Yemisi Izuora, Treasurer; Azuh Arinze, Financial Secretary and Remmy Nweke, Publicity Secretary.

Others are: Publisher of Prompt News, Akeem Oyetunji, Zonal Coordinator (South West), Raymond Ukaegbu, Zonal Coordinator (South South), Tony Edike, Zonal Coordinator (South East), Max Amuchie, Zonal Coordinator (North Central), James Umeh, Zonal Coordinator (North-West) and Horatius Egua, Zonal Coordinator (North East).

The new executive members will be inaugurated on Thursday, Day 2 of the 5th annual conference of GOCOP at Sheraton Hotel, Ikeja, Lagos.

The conference will be chaired by Governor Babajide Sanwo-Olu while the Secretary to the Government of the Federation, Boss Mustapha, will deliver the keynote address.

Earlier in the day, GOCOP members held a business session after which they hosted Corporate Communications Managers of organizations to luncheon at Sheraton Hotel.

In attendance were Dr. Fabian Benjamin of JAMB, Mr. Naboth Onyesoh of Nigerian Content and Monitoring Board (NCDMB), Mr. Rotimi Oyekanmi, Chief Press Secretary to the INEC Chairman and Chukwuemeka Steve Oguanuo, the Manager, External Communications and Media Lead of the NCDC.
