President of the Nigeria Football Federation, Aminu Maigari, again sounded it loud and clear on Monday that the NFF is proud of the works and other activities of the League Management Company, and will continue to give the body (LMC) all the support it needs to forge ahead towards the goal of taking the Premier League to new heights.
Speaking at the NFF Secretariat during a presentation by the League Management Company, Maigari affirmed the NFF’s approval for the way and manner the LMC has been going on in the business of sanitizing Nigeria’s elite division and stated that both organisations were on
the same page.
“The NFF approves of all that the LMC is doing and we are proud of the steps that you are taking to turn the Premier League around for the better. We also note that you have been making efforts, as required, to carry along the club owners in your activities.
“The NFF is equally proud of your moves to get the spectators back to the stadia so that our elite League can again be what it used to be in decades gone by.”
Maigari spoke as the League Management Company presented the NFF with the sum of N25 million, being five per cent of the monies the LMC has raised in sponsorship fees since coming on stream early this year.
LMC chairman, Nduka Irabor, who presented a 140-page Corporate Identity And Brand Standards Manual to the NFF, reiterated that the LMC is managing the League in trust for the club owners, and that both the company and the club owners now understand themselves
better.
“Our determination to take the League to an enviable height remains unshaken. We are working very hard to lay a solid foundation on which subsequent administrations can build to make the Nigeria League one of the very best in the universe,” Irabor said.
Also at the presentation were NFF General Secretary, Musa Amadu, LMC chieftains Seyi Akinwunmi and Salisu Abubakar, acting chairman of Club Owners, Isaac Danladi, secretary of
Club Owners, Aloy Chukwuemeka, Kwara United FC chairman, Aluko, Mr. Kasali Obanoyen, marketing consultant Harry Iwuala, and
taff of NFF and LMC.
