Enyimba chairman Nwankwo Kanu on Tuesday unveiled Yemi Olanrewaju as the club’s substantive head coach.
Olanrewaju was unveiled by the nine-time Nigeria Premier Football League champions at the club’s secretariat in Aba.
The 32-year-old previously worked as an assistant coach to erstwhile handler of the team, Finidi George, PNO Sports reports.
Olanrewaju took charge of the two-time African champions on interim basis towards the end of last season.
The young tactician turned down the chance to work with Finidi at another NPFL side, Rivers United to remain with Enyimba.
He joined Enyimba in 2022 and played a key role in their title success in his first season at the club.
Olanrewaju previously worked with MFM, Vandrezzer and Nigeria’s U-17 side, the Golden Eaglets.
Enyimba will take on NPFL new boys Beyond Limits Academy in their opening fixture of the 2024/25 season.
