Alhaji Ibrahim Salisu, Managing Director, Kano State Rural Water Supply and Sanitation Agency (RUWASA), has said the agency will provide potable water in all local government areas in state.
Salisu, RUWASA’s newly appointed Managing Director (MD), stated this shortly after assumption of duty on Monday in Kano.
He promised to ensure effective collaboration with relevant stakeholders to provide quality water and sanitation services for Kano people.
“I promise to discharge my responsibility diligently, I will ensure that all the 44 local government areas have access to potable water.
“We shall provide hand pumped, solar and motorized boreholes to ensure our people have access to potable water,” he said.
The managing director thanked the state governor, Dr Abdullahi Ganduje, for considering him worthy of the appointment.
In his remarks, RUWASA’s Director for Planning, Alhaji Yusuf Abdullahi, expressed the readiness of management and members of staff to work with the new MD to achieve set goals.
