Kano Catholic Blast: Police Confirm 5 Killed, 5 Arrested

Sunday said five persons have been arrested in connection with the bomb explosion at St Charles Catholic Church in Sabon Gari area of Kano.

The explosion which occurred after the church’s mass service, killed five persons and injured no fewer than eight, the confirmed.

According to Force Officer, Frank Mba, the ongoing investigation led to the arrest of the five persons are now undergoing interrogation.

He therefore, enjoined the citizens to be extra vigilant by reporting suspicious movement to the .

“As part of on-going investigations into the various terror related incidents that occurred in Kano, operatives in the ancient city have arrested five (5) male suspects for their complicity in the attacks.

“Two were arrested in connection with the foiled bomb attack at Isyaku Rabiu Mosque, while three were arrested in connection with the attack at St Charles Church.

“All suspects are currently undergoing interrogation. Intensive patrols are ongoing, citizens are advised to be vigilant and report any suspicious person or activities to security forces,” Mba stated.
